Space Trash

Space Trash,or Orbital Debris, is any man-made object floating around in space that is no longer serving a useful function.  There are flecks of paint, rocket parts, a toolbag, gloves, loose pieces, satellites that no longer work, and that's only the beginning. Currently, 23,000 thousand pieces larger than ten centimeters are currently being tracked. It is estimated that there are 500,000 pieces of orbital debris between 1 and 10 cm, and 1 million under 1 centimeter. So much as one fleck of paint can damage a windshield; imagine what something so much bigger can do, then think of thousands of them coming at once. We've been studying this problem since the 1970's, yet there has been little done to remove the junk! These items can stop space exploration all together or at very least make it much more expensive (not to mention dangerous), but no one can agree on what to do! We need YOUR help to create a solution and put it into motion- are you ready?

The width of a staple is 1cm. Let's jsut say that 1,000,000 staples flying at you at hyperspeed= ow.

10cm is the same as 4in. Imagine swarms of these flying out you- that could demolish an entire ship!
